What a branded event bar involves.

The four elements
What a branded event bar involves.

A fully branded event bar covers four elements: custom printed cups carrying campaign artwork or brand identity, bar wrap panels that transform the counter into a brand surface, barista uniforms aligned with the event colour palette and dress code, and menu boards or signage where relevant. Each can be specified independently - some events need cups only, others need the full identity treatment.

The most common mistake is treating branded elements as an afterthought. Custom cups require minimum two to three weeks from artwork sign-off to delivery. Bar wraps require similar lead time. If the brief arrives a week before the event, the branding options are significantly reduced. Branded event bar hire works best when it is built into the event brief from the beginning - not added at the end.

02

What to include in the brief.

Briefing checklist
What to include in the brief.

A complete branded bar brief should include: the event date and venue, the expected guest numbers, the brand guidelines or visual identity document, the specific elements required (cups, bar wrap, uniforms, menu boards), the artwork deadline and sign-off process, and the delivery address for physical materials.

For product launches where the bar will be photographed alongside products, the brief should also specify whether cups need to feature the product campaign artwork specifically or the brand logo only. This affects the artwork brief and the print specification. UNIT works directly from brand guidelines and manages production - the brand team sends the artwork, we handle the rest.

Lead times and what to expect.

Production timeline
Lead times and what to expect.

Custom printed cups: two to three weeks from artwork sign-off. Bar wraps: two to three weeks from artwork sign-off. Uniforms: one to two weeks depending on specification. All branded elements should be signed off before production begins - changes after production has started incur reprinting costs and may not be possible within the event timeline.

For press days or events with short notice, UNIT can advise on which branded elements are achievable within the available lead time. In some cases a partial branding solution - cups only, for example - is more achievable than waiting for the full package.

Questions

Custom cups, bar wraps and branded uniforms do not happen on their own. Here is what a complete branded bar brief looks like and what you need to provide.

How long does branded cup production take?+
Custom printed cups require two to three weeks minimum from artwork sign-off. Build this lead time into the event brief from the start - a brief arriving a week before the event significantly limits the branding options available.
What do I need to provide for a branded bar?+
Brand guidelines or a visual identity document, the specific elements required, the artwork deadline and sign-off process. UNIT handles production - the brand team provides the artwork, we manage the rest.
Can you brand just the cups without the full bar wrap?+
Yes. Each branded element can be specified independently. Cups only, bar wrap only, or the full identity treatment. The brief drives the decision. Read our branding page for full details.
